HIKE GUATIN – PURITAMA NATURAL WELLS

Guatin is also known around San Pedro as the Cactus Valley , due the abundant presence of the Cardón cactus, one of the largest cactus species in the Andes Mountains. In the area you can easily find cactus around 7 or 8 meters high. This excursion begins with a hike up a canyon; we will follow the Puritama River. This a walk begins at 2,900 meters above sea level in the cactus valley, going up the Puritama river canyon, appreciating part of the native flora of the Atacama pre-puna and old Natives settlements from 2,000 years old. There are 6 km of travel, to finish at 3,500 meters above sea level in the relaxing natural pools of the Puritama River. Here we will take a Bath and a Snack. Excellent alternative to help the process of acclimatization.
